3d Archery

3-D archery is a type of field archery that simulates hunting conditions. Targets are spaced out on the course at various distances from the firing line. Most distances are unknown to simulate hunting conditions. The targets can be life size representations of game that are constructed out of foam. The goal is to practice shooting from different stations at targets of varying distance recreating hunting situations.

The Langhorne Rod and Gun club has a 3-D Archery course open to club members during normal hours. The course offers two routes, each about 1.3 miles with 15 targets per route. Only target arrows are approved for use on this course (no broadheads).

At various times throughout the year, the club holds a special expanded 3-D archery event. All 3-D Archery events are open to the public. Information on the next 3-D archery Event can be found below and on the calendar
